The statement will be regarded as a "mistake" and be forgotten. The issue is how can such a seasoned "man of God"... especially one regarded so closely to being a prophet with special revelations about hair and angels... make this kind of error?
You know His=Obama just as His=God (to some). I remember Obama giving his speech at the Democrats convention in 2004 and the people having absolute orgasms (and literally speaking gibberish) when he came out. I see something nearly similar when certain apostolic rock stars get up to speak.
Emotions and "feelings" can be the ultimate deceiver. This is why emotionalism in a church setting can be such a turn off for me. Many people probably don't even realize they are shouting at the preacher more than they are worshiping God -all the while the preacher is soaking all the adoration up even while believing he isn't.
Unbelievable.
Shows a basic lack of understanding of the Muslim religion and of basic common sense.
40 wives locked in a cave?
Right.
How much of a support system would it take to keep them alive.
Not to mention that a devout Muslim is limited to 4 wives at one time.

You mean, if he knew more about the Muslim religion, he could have made up a more believable story?

Maybe he would have known enough to doubt the story he was presumably told.

I am of the opinion that ALL fantastic claims, miracles, and healing reports should be heavily scrutinized. It should be expected, and even required, before giving them anything more than the passing credence of a rumor.

Agreed, but then when would I hear the next person tell me about their best friends uncles Caddy that got 38 miles to the gallon until they took it in for a mandatory repaid replacing the experimental carburetor which was accidentally installed, with the correct one, after which it only got the "normal" 21 mph?
