"Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and unto God what is God's."
Is it not fit for the government to look out for the poor, widows, orphans, elderly, infirmed, and even the stranger?
Would it be right for America to shell out billions of dollars to help the citizens of other nations and spend ZERO on helping her own citizens?

You and I interpret the Scripture differently. I see it just how I interpreted it, however you subtly want to personally attack me by parralleling my interpretation of Scripture with Satan in the garden. That is why dialogue with you is not productive... because you make it personal... as you did there.
And no, it is NOT FIT for government to look out for the poor, widows, orphans, elderly, infirmed or the stranger.... or to shell out billions to help citizens of other nations.... NEITHER is appropriate, and NEITHER is within the constitutional or Biblical mandate for Government.
Romans 13 limits the role of government, as well does the Constitution. The role of benevolence is not a governmental role, but a responsibility of individuals and the church.
