Re: Jesus married?

two comments:

I believe Jesus is engaged to a bride which is a group of people who have said "yes" to Him. (ref John 3:22-30; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5;21-33; James 4:4; Revelation 19:7-9; 21:2, 9-10)

Whether Jesus was married while dwelling among us as a man is no problem to me and would not alter my faith in Him as my God and Savior.

Re: Jesus married?

"The text is being dubbed "The Gospel of Jesus' Wife." The part of it that's drawing attention says, "Jesus said to them, 'my wife'" in the Coptic language. The text, which is printed on papyrus the size of a business card, has not been chemically tested to verify its dating, but King and other scholars have said they are confident it is a genuine artifact."

Leave it to the HuffPo to print one of the dumbest things I have ever read.

The text is the size of a business card? ROFL. Jesus said "my wife"?

Jesus also said to THEM "My mother"
Notice the quote, Jesus said to THEM my wife

Not Jesus said to her not Jesus said to them my wives

Re: Jesus married?

I wonder if Jesus had mother-in-law problems or made mother-in-law jokes?

I know He was against plural marriage because He said, "no man can serve two masters"

What didn't you get?

The text this woman read was the size of a business card. You get that right? It was a fragment.

The text merely read "Jesus said to them 'my wife'" which is not much to go on. You get that right?

Jesus said to His disciples "My mother", does that make the disciples literally His mother? Did you get that Timmy?

Did you get that what Jesus did NOT say was "he said to her, my wife" as if he was describing a woman as someone he was married to? You don't get that?

Timmy let me sum it up this way. Timmy, a business card sized fragment of a parchment that leaves out MOST of what was written is not much to go on nor is the words "Jesus said to them, my wife"....you don't get that there are words missing that might explain this better in context?

I thought it was pretty clear. Timmy it's absurd to draw the conclusion Jesus had a wife from that. Is that understandable?
