The desperate attacks on Rice are stupid and I am glad that she has confronted the accusations head on.
She showed grit in her news conference.
I don't think what's going on with her is racial and the Senate won't be able to block her nomination unless they fillibuster it to smitherines.
She made a statement about the embassy attack where the reference to being a terrorist act was taken out. If she didn't take it out, who did? Her boss? An underling?
Either she was covering up, or she is incompetent. Of course she isn't incompetent, so the GOP is inferring that there was a cover-up. The Obama posse says there was no cover-up, so what exactly happened and who is,responsible?

Here it goes again. If you don't approve of Obama as President it's because he is black. Never mind you also did not approve of Clinton, Gore or Edwards who are all white.
Well now the republicans are being called racists again because they oppose Rice's nomination...never mind that they approved of Condi and Powel....
Congress' highest-ranking black lawmaker says he suspects Republicans are pillorying U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice because she is black.
Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., and other black Democrats say they're especially upset Republicans continually use variations of the word "incompetent" to describe Rice, 48, a potential secretary of state nominee who was a Rhodes scholar, Clinton administration assistant secretary of state and Brookings Institution senior fellow. At Brookings she focused on U.S. foreign policy, weak and failing states, the implications of global poverty and transnational threats to security.
Here's the rub on the Benghazi affair, maybe not provable, maybe so: The Democrats just had their convention where they had boasted the president's tough foreign policy credentials. Osama Bin Laden is dead! Al Qaeda is on the run! We've decimated their infrastructure and created chaos in their leadership! We've done more than George Bush did! Then, a week later, on the anniversary of 9/11 at a time when there should've been heightened security and awareness, especially in places that had warning signs and threats in the recent past, we are attacked by Al Qaeda linked terrorists. Four Americans are killed. And the Obama campaign knew they had major damage control on their hands. This would be a gift to the Romney campaing and it would greatly undermine the entire Democratic convention theme. The move was calculated and political. They chose to downplay and outright lie about what happened hoping the media would ignore it and they could make it to Nov. 6 all the details emerged.
The Chicago political machine is masterful at the bloodsport of politics. They know how to destroy an oppoenent by undermining his public perception, and they are pros at hiding the trith when it makes them look bad. A willing MSM took the explanation at face value when everyone knows had it been the Bush admin GOP president it wouldve been front page news for the remainder of the campaign.
Whether Ms. Rice is competent or not is irrelevant to me. Whoever gets the job will promote the Obama Doctrine. It won't matter who gets the job.
The real issue is the willingness to keep our service men and women, the intelligence community and our State department employees without the security that should they be in danger, if its politically uncomfortable, this administration is willing to sacrifice them to maintain their ideology. An ideologically driven presidency is more of a concern to me, especially when the ideology is bent toward abortion, gay rights, socialism, a diminished American role in the world, higher taxes, a reluctance to cut spending (especially on entitlements), an eagerness to cut military budgets, and many other liberal government theories and experimentations.
The cry of racism is a juvenile reaction to avoid the real substantive arguments that are on the table in order to give someone a pass.

And if this admin will roll the dice to lie to win an election, what would they be willing to do when there's nothing to lose?
