So you are saying unless a woman wears her hair down, and not "up" that she is not covering her head? What? Does she have to cover her ears and neck too?
It wouldn't matter if I showed you scripture and verse or not. I have this picture in my mind of your wife with straight hair covering her eyes, ears, nose and neck. Is that truly covered? I guess, according to you.
