I think unfortunately you reflect the spiritual/emotional level of more than a few.
It is not really about what you have settled concerning Jesus our savior but more about churches/congregations and other non-essentials. I pray you find your relationship with Christ. I miss fellowship from the past as well and wish I had the same relationship with some of my brothers from the past. All that comes with growth pains. My gut instinct tells me you are in for some unnecessary disappointment.

Possible theme song for him "Lord I was born a rambling man"?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

He is not done! Its hard to sit under teaching that you don't believe.

It is hard to hear them talk about the precious "truth" and that others like his old AG pastor is going to hell or when the talk starts about those that leave the precious truth.

Yes, it was very hard for my wife and me to leave. In our case, almost all our close family and friends were in the oneness pentecostal sect, some in ministry. The decision to leave wasn't quickly made nor was it joyfully made, but there was really no other choice. The oppression of the religion became had become so great. So much of what was being preached and practiced wasn't scriptural.

We lost relationship with friends and family and felt so alone, but the presence of God kept us through the process. After fellowship with many flavors of Christians over the past 25 years, I've found that there are both good Christians and bad Christians as it was in the oneness sect. We've made new friends, some which have walked a similar path as ours and established friendships with those we once viewed as 'lost'. The joy of fellowshipping with other children of God and recognizing that the body of Christ is a vast and wonderful body is worth the pain of leaving. For us, going back would be almost impossible.

I thank God frequently for bringing us out to bring us into fellowship with so many of His Saints we wouldn't have enjoyed had we not left the oneness sect.

By the time I did it wasn't hard due to some other circumstances. I had recently moved to a new town, new church and hadn't settled in. A divorce was in the process as well. I had settled some of the problem areas many years prior.

Speaking in tongues as a requirement to go to Heaven is the main difference.

I agree with Baptism in Jesus Name, but I would consider a person baptized in the Titles my brother or sister in Christ-- without any hesitation.

I am probably more Trinitarian in my thoughts of GOD than Oneness.

I believe that despite the differences I have, I should be able to return to my former Apostolic church with little or no issues.
