The farm is still here so I've not had a lot of time for much else. Garden has all but burned up in the hot dry weather and the grass is not far behind if we don't get some rain. Fortunately I stocked in a lot of hay early on in the year so the animals will not starve I dried up all the goats and all but one Jersey cow to be ready for this so my milking chores are down to about 45 minutes twice a day and I can get feeding done in about an hour twice a day. Canned what I could, gave the rest away.
Glad you got to spend time with your dad. Those are precious moments for sure.

Poor Don! Must be tough having to do exercises on both knees, very time consuming! Will continue to keep him and you in my prayers!
I had to laugh about your garden burning up. My garden is just getting started here, and my concern is not about it burning up, but freezing up! It has been dipping down into the low 40s here at night, and perhaps even 38 degrees, and even with my greenhouse, my heat loving plants are trying to tough it out.
I have started to reap some squash, and peas from the garden, and some tomatoes starting to ripen... I only hope I'll have enough to can!
I did have a wonderful time with my Dad, a month sounded like a long time at first, but it is amazing how the days fly by, and then it was time for him to go.
