Now that you mention it, the letter looks like posts I've seen on a football bbs site after a loss, when the author is completely smashed and just venting his frustration. But I still think it's too personal to be a troll.
I don't know of any teen or young adult who uses words like are in the letter: Proximity. Dreadful. Vamose. Euthanize. There is one word missing from the letter...."like." Like, this totally was not, like, written by a teenager.
I misread something though, they live nearby; not in the same building. At first, I thought it was an apartment complex; however, reading over it again, it sounds like a neighborhood with houses.
Maybe it is a young adult, and perhaps they are just trying to cause trouble. In any case, it's a horrid, pathetic, and callous letter and they should apologize once they sober up.
