In many other countries, nakedness is openly displayed and nobody thinks anything about it. It's mainly in America that we want to 'dirty' everything.

Culture definitely plays a role. Our church has a Burmese daughter work, and their men don't look twice when mothers are completely exposing their breasts and midriffs while nursing babies. The American men, on the other hand, tend to blush, look down, kick rocks, etc. (Or stare)
