Many people do not want America to continue to be the "world's policeman". So when America takes a step back from that role, the evil ones make their moves.

God is not going to punish America collectively, any more than He has already punished Amersterdam or those other northern European countries that have been virtually Christ-less for about 100 years now.

Yet, you want to blame Obama for this as if he and Paul would respond differently.

If anything, a Paul Presidency would be a sTEADY green light for the wackos around the world to do their desire to everyone else but America.

At least with an Obama Presidency, the use of force is not automatically off the table.

A significant portion of the GOP and most of his own constituents DID NOT WANT OBAMA TO RESPOND TO THE SYRIA CRISIS WITH THE USE OF MILITARY FORCE, EVEN AFTER THE RED LINE STATEMENTS WERE MADE AND CLEARLY CROSSED.

Did the GOP'ers and the Democrats WANT President Obama to appear "weak" or "wishy-washy" for their own political reasons, or were they truly representing the views of their constituents?


So what would you guys have the President do in regards to Syria?
Would you have him DEFY the general will of the country and have us embroiled in Syria's civil war even now?

There are non-military ways to respond, such as pulling the G8 summit from Sochi and even suspending or kicking Russia out of the G8 entirely.

obama didn't even find the situation important enough to be in attendance at his own security briefing.

That's because these "rebels" were actually terrorists and have been found out to be the ones behind at least a couple gas attacks, not to mention they're the ones perpetrating violence against Christians and other people.

This isn't about Syria, but since you asked... obama was forced to stand down on Syria. He saw the embarrassing UK Parliament vote against the PM, and knew he didn't have a majority backing him in Congress. So rather than be voted down by Congress, he jumped on Putin's lifesaver and agreed with that plan.
