Re: Duggar interview
Let's look at it this way. A child is raised in a gay home, with two gay parents. At 14, it is discovered that the boy has touched his brother inappropriately. What would be the proper action for the gay parents to take? Should they say, well its okay, he is just exploring his sexuality? This seems to be what has happened in Lena Dunham's case... hmm.... the hypocrisy is sickening.
So the real problem here is not the abuse... the problem is where it happened, in a Christian home, with parents who have been in the spotlight for trying to raise their children in a godly way, and it is the media and liberal minded folks who want to destroy them because they stand for something that opposes their agenda.
And we must remember this.... just because we are Christians, does not mean we are not above the temptations and lusts of the flesh that lead to sin... the difference is what Christians are supposed to do with those lusts of the flesh, and how they approach them, that is where the difference lies.
In Christ, we can overcome the lusts of the flesh and sins of the heart by turning to Christ, and by seeking repentance, forgiveness and hope. It seems this is what this boy tried to do from all accounts.
However, what is making the liberals mad is that this boy changed, overcame, and moved on with his life, instead of being labeled a child molester, and going on to commit more crimes, and eventually being committed to jail for the rest of his life... which is what usually happens in such a situation.
I will be praying for this family that they use this attack against them to show and highlight the love and mercy of Christ that is able to reach out and change the darkest and most hopeless of situations.
