I guess I am used to larger churches. In Louisiana there are alot of smaller churches but then there are the larger ones like Baton Rouge and Alexandria
and Shreveport etc.I guess there are alot of larger ones too.Florida is on
the rise in attendance as well.Texas has some wonderful large churches.
I loved the Kilgores work. There were also other large congregations when
we lived there.I don't know what the attendance runs now.Brother Strange
would know.I am just used to going to church and minding my own business
and praising the Lord and trying to be a blessing. Truthfully it may bother you more than them.

On this you are probably right! Like I said earlier, I was too long in the system to know exactly what others may be thinking. It's hard knowing all the myriad ideas that run through folks' minds...while I'm sure there's a form of love and acceptance on the outside, the inside forms other ideas...from pity, or contempt, to being thought of as a lesser Christian, or a backslider.
I have run into very few people that can actually accept me the way I am as an equal.
Even Roxanne stated she would pray me back through to a Holy Ghost renewal.

I hope you will be able the help that young lady!

Sadly, you're probably right. I cringe to think of what people there think of us as well. I mean, we are "church hoppers" and there's really no way to redeem yourself of that in the OR district.

What, you are now too 'evolved' to accept a blessing from the Lord?

That's exactly what I meant. A good old fashioned praying through to a renewing of the Holy Ghost. The apostle Peter told the Jews:
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 3:19
I love those times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord!

Which proves my conclusion from the other post...
In your mind, I am devoid of, or lacking, the Holy Ghost?
Because there's a BIG difference between a 'refreshing', or a blessing, and a 'renewing', or praying through.
One has the Holy Ghost operating in their life; the other doesn't.

Did you have this type of conversation about others?
I would trust someone would be able to return without the walls you seem to have built up.

I would drive up to be in that service and MrsBoomm would be there with you getting your renewing and refreshing.
Something that could also happen in your own home if you were sincere about wanting it, and needing it.
