Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
I think most everyone KNOWS what I believe about women in the ministry...Today at my house (they have been here over a week visiting with us) . are a group of preachers from the state of Minas Gerias...Fruits of a part of my labor in the gospel. (of course a part others helped including men) . They all call me mother and wrote me a beautiful letter thanking me for helping them be saved. Am I a woman pastor? No, a thousand times no...that is not my calling or as some say not my cup of tea... Do I believe that women can preach and pastor? Yes, I do. I can only speak for myself and not for other ladies. I have never had a clash with men and respect them as men. I took care of 3 different churches on the mission field when there was no man qualified however since being a pastor is not my calling as soon as God sent a man I turned the churches over to them. I don't even like to set on the platforms which many times I am asked to sit with those on the platforms....that too is not my cup of tea...I have a chair in our home church (not on the platform) where I sit every service. I do know some precious ladies that are pastors in many parts of our world. I have not said much because my husband had rather me not write much on this subject here because of something that was said long ago that he felt was offense to God...and we would only go around and around. I grew up in the Holmes and Taylor churches and both believed in women 100 percent. I have many friends that believe both ways...I can disagree and still be a friend...So many other things we agree on...I will always believe in women such as Sister AO Holmes, Sister Dawson, Sister Mary Williams and others like them...
