Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
No scripture, no argument with a defense with book, chapter, and verse. Just personal achievement. But, can’t every schism and denomination bring such an argument based on emotion? How they did XY and Z for God and country and therefore they must be right? I know such and such isn’t Biblical but now little Antonio has shoes and can read the Bible. Don’t get me wrong, feeding and clothing children in poverty conditions is praise worthy. To be commended. Yet, what we are talking about is not about good deeds which everyone from Mormon to Atheist is achieving. We are talking about what is the Biblical model for the minister who is over and leading the married men of a church family. Jesus chose 12 Apostles not one was a female. Did He not know that somewhere in earth’s future that there would be a need for female preachers? I guess not, because male leadership is what He chose. Paul is quoted saying that he wouldn’t tolerate a woman taking the authority over a man through teaching. So, there you have it. Argument should be finished right there. But sadly it’s not. We just get it moved to the side to make room for how many home runs Sister Foofoofnick belted out. How godly Sister Biddy Joe would float 3 inches off the floor while she ministered to the church family. Sounds nice, but the Word is the final judge and jury. No matter how much Old Sister Seesaw would pray gold fillings in PeePaw’s dentures we must allow the Word to light the way, wether we like it or not.
