To some youth, Christian Rock is viable worship music. But to me, it is from the pits of hell I was delivered out of when I returned to the church. Even some contemporary Christian music has the same spirit. It is hard to get a youth to understand this. The "words" can be all about Jesus, but the spirit behind the song, which I recognize because I was there, is not of God at all.
Not everyone understand what I am saying, and there is no way for me to give you understanding. Some are more sensitive than others in certain area's. It doesn't make one more spiritual than another. It is just Gods giftings within the church.

I agree. I was at the Youth Congress in Nashville in 2003 and while service was great for the most part, when the Christian rock group performed, I felt funny in my spirit, even though there were several who didn't mind it at all. I chalked it up to my being old...LOL...but I felt something in that music I didn't like, and judging from those around me, most of them youths also, they felt it too.
