Im not an old timer. I was young back then so Im still young in my opinion and my hair is still blond!
Which reminds me, I came to church once with a scraggly beard growing that I just didn't have time to shave that day. A brother came up to me so glad to see me with it because up until then he thought I was never going to have gray hair!

That's how we sing it. Dontnevah...I suppose it made us sound black to the mostly white and hispanic folks that came through our doors ...probably added to the Pentecostal "mystique"...personally I like it black but the music directer says we lack the talent to do it black so we gotta do it white boy stiff
Oh and our praise team doesn't sway, they bounce up and down, though they kinda look cute doing it AHAHAHAHAHA..I don't even know how they do that. I can't bounce, I have to sway. They have regular practices so I suspect they not only practice the singing but the bouncing too
