The same lesson could have been used plipping through the local radio stations, unless there was a "Christian" station.
As someone already mentioned, things would have gotten ugly REAL fast had he used the internet as an object lesson!
A better lesson is teaching folks to use their godly conscience when listening or watching media, and to make godly choices in allowing what they will watch or listen to!

I think the whole "push vs. pull" argument is a screen for some preachers to try and keep the radicals from outlawing the Internet.
It's hard enough now for a man to get around his district board and watch Fox News without having some angry luddite coming along to turn off the Internet.
Your "better lesson" is of course the ideal. But when have we ever gone for ideals?
