If we are truly Christ like, we should pray for those who are wrong and seek to restore them. Forgive them, if they repent - but not HELP THEM cover their sins.

Anyone reading the history of "the church" can see how the good ole boy network thrived throughout the ages. Most people don't know "the True Church", they know the history of the Catholic church and it's history of indulgences, corruptness, debauchery, inhumanity to mankind. The true Church suffers for the sins of those who called themselves the church in history.........The True Church suffers today because of those who call themselves the True Church (both within and within).

Thanks, Felicity, I agree with you!
Jane.......

The older I get the more I'd rather err on the side of mercy than on the side of judgment.

When I was younger I was more quick for the gung ho "go get 'em" approach. You know, righteous judgment and all that.

I've seen some things through the years that I couldn't understand at the time but now understand better in regard to why certain decisions were made although I wondered at the time why more "come down hard on them" type of action wasn't taken. I understand much better now.

Those who are in spiritual leadership and authority type position often rule more mercifully than what some would like. I've also seen those who are so judgmental get bitten themselves real hard. Maybe it's that old "reap what you sow" truth in action.

This type of good ol' boy network has always existed and always will. Sometimes we can only leave it to God to bring everything to proper judgment and conclusion in the end. It's often wayyy out of our hands to do much about.
