ANY culture whether it is religious (of any denomination), political, or customary to a heritage, that promotes the idea of unaccountability and absolute authority will eventually have these types crawling out of the woodwork since it is the perfect safe haven for their deeds.

You know, I always wondered what the church would really be like if God struck those who lied to the Holy Ghost, or the church leadership about their involvement in predatory behavior. Annanias & Sapphira were killed instantly for lying.
Predators convince the victim that is they who wanted what they got from the perpetrator. But what they do is "GROOM" the person; make them feel special, like they really care about. them, give them gifts having investigated as to the person's likes and dislikes...then moved in for the conquest.
People such as this have ANTI-SOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER. Their conscience has been seared to the point they cannot distinguish between right and wrong and they break rules, don't work, slothful in paying bills, and run form responsibility. They have an attitude of 'entitlement' and think they deserve whatever it is they want regardless of whom they hurt or destroy.
These people are in our churches and we need to be able to identify and mark them. They should have no power in our assemblies.
This is a sore spot for me. The perpetrator probably was a victim at some point but I can't counsel this personality type. This is my bias.
