Should we make light of such things? I'm not offended by intelligent conversation. I'm offended when sin is made to be a laughing matter, or into something trivial...perhaps treated as if it is essentially harmless, when it never is. I'm offended when those who hold certain convictions for both Biblical and personal reasons are ridiculed.
Normally I can discuss this topic quite rationally. Today isn't my day, apparently.

I'm still waiting to see the post where someone was laughing about the good old days and celebrating being drunk.......
I fully understand how people can be sensitive about this (considering something like 1/3 to 1/2 of all kids grew up with a jerk of an alcoholic father or mother) and for that reason I specifically DON'T "celebrate" it -and don't understand myself how some college kids ENJOY it (something I alluded to in another post which has been conveniently ignored).
BUT..... when Jesus HIMSELF actually CREATED wine, to put ANY post mearly talking about it into the same arena as "celebrating sin", I have a problem with that.
