I am so thankful for the day and time that we live in. Our children have changed the 'face' of Apostolicism. Now, when you walk into an Apostolic church- you see diversity, and you really cannot tell, outwardly, who is saint, and who is sinner. THANK GOD.
Nowadays, if you walk into a church where all look 'the part'- then you have undoubtably walked into a church that needs a revival of souls!!!!

Excuse me!!!! Thank God that you can't tell a saint from a sinner?!!

The UPCI Church I had attended for 27 years. Would advertise on local TV all the time. The UPCI is in the dark if they think churches are not using TV.

That's just one issue.
The second would be that dreaded advertising on TV. Forbid.
I think some have just lost meaning of reaching one more soul.

Why are you rolling your eyes? There ARE young UPCI churches that have so many new babies, you cannot tell outwardly who needs to hear this salvation message, and who has already received it, and obeyed it...that was the point I attempting to make...sorry if I am not real good with the written word.

It's ok for a UPC church to advertise on TV.
It's not ok for UPC minister to advertise on TV.
That's my interpretation of the 2007 UPC version of the "manifesto"!!

I understood your point. I had rather go to a church that is progressing with new converts that may not look exactly like we think they should look. If everyone looks the same, it seems there are no new converts. Some of the posters don't follow the standards that UPC, etc does, so at their churches everyone may look the same anyway.

Annie I understand what you are saying here. I'm 1000% for winning the lost. If some Cons came to my church on a sunday morning.....O boy, they would think we had gone down that slippery slope!!
what I am against is having Secialized sunday services for different social Groups such as the church I mentioned that has a "super bowl sunday"

Thad why are you against this specialized service, do you feel it isolates others?

This is the only concern, IMO.

Next, It was on a station that has to bleep out a lot of bad language
|
How do you know?
Honestly, though, if we were going to advertise church services, I would want the advertisements to be on every station, even, no, especially, the bad ones!!!

lastly, the biker look and style doesn't represent Pentecost too well

What is your deal with the biker look? This came up once before on NFCF! There is nothing wrong with leather and motorcycles!!!!! Anyway, I'd be happy if a bunch of bikers showed up for Sunday morning church! Some of those tough guys are the easiest to reach!
