Reaching the lost is a mandate. We have to do it or we're in trouble on Judgment Day. I've not a singe problem with reaching the lost but somewhere there has to be an encounter with a transforming Almighty.
This is why the other post about 'can't tell Saint from sinner' drew quick fire (although it was later explained). I have MANY who look like rank sinners because they have only been in the Church a few weeks. However, the mature Church looks like the Church... no mistaking that!
I'm all for gimmicks (without lying or going against what I've agreed to by being a part of a certain organization) and I utilize lots of things. I wouldn't be against Biker Sunday / Friend Sunday / Special Days... (Okay, admittedly no Super Bowl will ever be seen in my sanctuary!) but the bottom line is that Pentcost better never make the mistake of the false doctrine Churches that think a 'social' gospel will glean the same results as a 'moral' gospel.

You are saying something I really feel strong about as well.
My opinion is when we lose the Power we then need the gimmicks.
Disclaimer: Not saying that is the problem here. Just seeing a trend of this.
