I'm sorry, but I cannot resist. I do not understand why it is so bad for a person to follow their own convictions. Why do others have to put down or make fun of the fact that these men do not believe as others, just as you don't believe as they do. They are not on AFF putting you down for what you believe. They are just going their own way. If you want to follow, fine. I don't think they are forcing anyone to follow. These are grown men. They are following their convictions, just as you are following yours.

These that claim MY was always liberal!? Yes maybe in the years you knew him, afterall weren't we all liberal in our age 15 - 19 years. If you can even call it liberal, I call it growing up! But you know once we REALLY get our OWN walk with God!!!! We mature and have influences from our mentors, what's wrong with being mentored by a conservative dad or FIL. We all choose what road we take!!! Some choose the high road and some the low road!
