Just from the top of my head:

He states that "Montanist were catagorized as Sabellians." But in reality Tertullian was a Montanist and wrote against Sabellianism. How could the Montanists be "Sabellians?" I sat in a room with you when a professor at UGST compared the Montanists to AoG. Do you remeber that?

Arnold states "Manichaenism revered Pentecost, Jesus name." He groups them with "other Oneness bodies" including the Bogomils. Manichaenism and Bogomils were both dualists. The didn't even believe that Jesus Christ had a physical body and they believed that the devil was a god on par with Jehovah!

Arnold states that the Bogomils, Albigensians, Cathari and many other medieval groups practiced Acts 2:38 salvation. But, he tells us, Rome lied about it and burned all of their books. None of that is true. In fact Google will take you to Albigensians texts. Read them for yourself and see if you would have fit in with their beliefs.

He states that "the Cathari - were people of the true Christian Church..." This "true church" forbade its people to marry or to consumate a marriage. They were mostly vegetarians and they believed that Jehovah was the "evil" god who created the material world but that the "son of light" had come to save us all from Jehovah/Yahweh. Is that what you preach?
You and I sat in 715 classes where the air temps were in the 40's and the discussion was not much I relished.

UGST? after my time.

I did some quick research, but knew if I asked- you would show here why this is not a reputable book. You did well for a dork who wore Hai Karate!

I applaud PP for having more tact than I did in this thread and for saying what others have been trying to say to no avail.

Why do you say you are not a conservative? In what ways do you differ from a conservative? i know it's off the topic but I am curious! Is it standards like hair and pants on women and beards on men? I'm not being sarcastic, but really just wanting to know.

Very conservative doctrinally.

Somewhat conservative in personal lifestlye.

Not so conservative in social standards.

To the ultracons I am a lib.

To the ultralibs I am a con.

To the world I am a right-wing fundamentalist whacko.

see, i feel the same way about myself.... my veryconservative friends would think i had gone off the deep end and yet liberals out there for sure say i am a conservative.... do the women in your church keep the holiness standards of dress and of not cutting the hair? (this is a major impact on how one is labelled) do the men in your church wear shorts below the knee without any kind of reprimand? or can they wear just about anything? I am curious on where I would be compared to someone who thinks they stand where i stand ! LOL

The word apostolic is laughable itself. It is the closest thing to acceptable idolatry in our circles.

The only thing the Oneness revelation proves is one is at least as smart as devils. (James 2:19)

We are called to be disciples. Not christians, not apostolics, not oneness pentecostals. Labels are for self preservation.

We've lost sight of discipleship and replaced it with irrelevant labels. Instead of discipling people to be like christ, we disciple them to be religious.

We are so concerned about our beliefs we lose sight of what makes a person a disciple of Christ.

We need to make up our minds. Are we Oneness Pentecostal or not?

And the idea that this alternative group is somehow "Apostolic" is laughable.
