I wanted nothing more than to be accepted and to be loved in MY CHURCH. I wanted to belong. But after 10 years in UPC, that hasn't happened . . . because I don't LINE UP with their (UPCs) interpretation of holiness. Can't seem to sell out to that which I don't believe.
So yes, rejection by UPC has been my experience (not opinion).

It saddens me that has been your experience. I trust that you have tried other UPC churches that has resulted in the same experience of rejection. If that is the case, it is unfortunate. I can tell you that, without exception, you could come to my church (yes, a UPC church) and you would be loved, you would belong, and you would be welcomed. Nearly 40 years and I have experienced what you have but once. It is not the feeling that the flesh deals with lightly. Your faith can be shaken. I hope that you would not characterize or make the assumptions about organizations as a whole based on these bad experiences. God Bless.
