The passages above show us that if we do not yield our bodies to God for Him to use, sin will use our bodies. This raises a whole new issue... do we actually do what Ro 6:13 said in order to stop falling into sin?
Sin will rule in our mortal bodies, or the Spirit of God will quicken our mortal bodies. We decide which, whether we do so intentionally or not. And it is, mor eoften than not, unintentionally done for sin to use us.

In answer to the emboldened question above, sometimes I don't think we do.
I think there is a lot at issue here. We become discouraged and not watchful. We can become hurt and not watchful. We can become weary in well doing and not watchful.
The scripture still stands -
