Things like weight fall under qualifying for coverage before the application is ever written. I read your comment through the eyes of having been a health insurance agent. Whenever a policy application is written, the applicant has already been through a qualifying process, which includes stats, history, etc. The agent knows whether someone will qualify before he even writes the application. In other words, if Joe Blow wants health insurance, I take his information, run it past the underwriting department
before I quote him a price, and then proceed to take the application, assuming he has already qualified for the policy. Anyway, it's a minor point at best.
