Are you saying prayer will keep these types of situations from happening to you?

Are you suggesting that prayer will not keep you in these types of situations?

Mizpeh, you aren't going to get a straight answer from him. You are wasting your time.

I would like to ask a question of the shooters.

If a missionary is assaulted and the assaulters attempt to kill the missionary and his family, should they follow what Jesus stated in Matt 5, or should they seek to stop the killers from doing their deed?

I guess my question really is, at what point does Matt 5 kick in. Is it only if you are preaching at the time you are assaulted?

I know Bro Telemarion (sp) is in some strange doctrine now, but I remember his testimony about his child that was killed by the Govt troops right in front of him.
That must have just about killed him-it would me.

I never heard the part where he fought back with ak47's.

He must have left it out.

Brother, I believe dying during the course of ministering the Gospel is a very honorable way to die. Sister Alvear has lots of stories of God delivering her and her family members during their time as missionaries. I don't have any stories of Him doing something like that for me, but I have seen Him put a fire out instantly. Still doesn't mean I've gotten rid of every fire extinguisher and smoke detector from my house.

In fact, if y'all are as serious about praying over every single situation that could cause your death, then I suggest you not wear the seatbelts in your car, disconnect the airbags and anti-lock brakes, cancel your homeowner's insurance, and take all the locks off your windows and doors. Afterall, you have enough faith to say without a doubt that God is never going to let you die at the hands of a madman. If He is going to do that for you, then surely you will never get hurt in a car accident, home fire, or ever have anyone break into your home either.

Wow. That would be tough. That angel probably saved his life.

yeah....he said it was like he was in shackles around his feet...thought it was demonic at first and kept rebuking it and nothing happened. The soldiers were waiting for him at the church I think and if he wouldnt have been late they would have killed him.
