This isn't a debate about abortion, just a question. Would your wife feel that way?
I am not sure about how she will feel as I have not met her yet. But I do know how I feel about this-- I will love my wife more than my very own life, more than our children, more than anyone or anything, except not more than GOD.

But, in discussing abortion, the unborn child is still a child, and I use other terms to take the emotional sting out of the topic for me. It allows me to focus on the principle:
My wife is more important TO ME than our unborn child. I will love her more. This is my conviction and I believe it to be scripturally sound. As a family, I will provide for my whole family, but my wife will always be #1, not the children

I understand fully what you are saying, but you're using the logic of a computer -or a Vulcan.
I am doing that purposely, to take away the emotional sting of such a terrible situation. But when placed in a terrible situation, you have to make decisions based on principle. I have stated that principle already.
For the record, I still don't think it would be too long before God would convince the new Christian to change professions and NOT be an abortion doctor-- only because too many folks use abortions as a way to "fix their mistakes" and "inconveniences"-- this is not the will of God and constitutes murder.

Well 1399, I appreciate your feelings for your future wife. I'm sure she will too!!!
I do believe your opinion will probably change a bit when you hold that tiny infant in your arms and know he or she is completely dependant upon you.
The love in your heart will overflow and you'll never be able to understand it.
It's a feeling like no other feeling, not even falling in love with your spouse.

Soon as he finds out he's going to be a dad his feelings will change! I remember when the reality of becoming a father hit me. It literally is what caused me to repent and start seeking God.
My Big, strong, husband cried at our sons dedication. Up until that point I had never seen him cry. He got up and spoke about learning an aspect of God that he never before known.
There is nothing in life that can prepare you for the incredible feelings that come when a person knows God becomes a part of the miracle of life.
