We tend to have quite a few of those in my church. We have Visitors
that just come on Sunday morning. and quite a few occasions,
I'll be someone where in town, at the store, post office, whatever,
and I'll hear someone say " HI Brother Mark" . I'll say HI to be
polite but I'm saying to myself "who in the world is that" ?? lol
A few times they've noticed that i didn't know them and they'll
say something like " don't you know me? I'm come to your church
on Sunday" .

People can tell the difference. They see you and then they see them and say, "um there's a difference" Just let them tell that. People will know. My only concern is that if those people are used in leadership positions. That confuses people and then puts questions in people's minds that is hard to overcome.

Pel, I've learned that it takes all kinds and we're not going to agree on everything. And that's alright, but we need to read the book. It's the final judge on who's wrong and who's right. Jesus is the ultimate authority, not you , not me, not any flesh.
But IMO, we need to be careful telling people that it's ok to say one thing and live another. Especially when we are in the ministry. WE are going to be held accountable for what we say and do. Not saying that you are doing that. I'm talking about be a witness for Him. If you are what you are, you'll live that way, if not then be something else.

That last statement is very wise counsel for anyone.
I guess I just don't see the problem if, for example, when I go fishing I wear my baggy cargo "shorts" and then, before I cook up the catch I put on a pair of slacks when I'm in the house with a bunch of other people around.
Peter fished naked, I won't go that far.

And I may have read Berkeley's posts different but I didn't see where he was saying he was living one way, then not. But rather just living as to not offend. If he said "I don't do <fill in the blank>" when at his home church, then blatantly doing it while a hundred or more miles away, I would have a problem with that as well.

My concern was that he was in a position. (had it in my head that he was) that's why I posted the way I did.

I see what you are saying. Not that I agree. But you have a right to you opinion. I respect that you are "respectful" to the others around you. (at least you're headed in the right direction!!! )
I won't touch the last statement. Except that was waaaaayy too funny!!!

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

That poster was on the wall in my world history class when I was in h.s. It was originally used as propaganda during WWII. And that's where the carpool started.
