We went to the mall one day and we took pictures and video to make a point. When we finished with basic editing of the pictures and video we presented it and asked people to tell us if this was a woman or a man. Couldn't do it! It's not like we did much editing to hide faces etc... We also didn't need to really look hard to find examples. We where in and out in 15 minutes and had 65 examples on a slow day when the stores where very slow.

I find it hard to believe you found that many examples where you could not tell the difference, but then I suppose it is possible when additional psychological factors are taken into account.
For instance, it is well documented that people have a more difficult time telling apart others of different ethnic persuasions -to one degree or another, simply because group A is not around group B as much and their brains do not learn what details to pick up on in the others in order to effectively do that.
Could it be that within some Pentecostal circles, people DO have a hard time telling the difference between sexes when the jean skirt and poof are removed from the equation?
