I agree with OA, Mike and Scotty!
I also think being "Apostolic" only means something to other "Apostolics" - striving to be like Christ is more important!

The title "apostolic" does not apply unless it is also accompanied by the jean skirt, "poof" and of course, lack of make-up. And if your a guy, then it is beholden to you to make sure your "mate" has the look.

I would think that if one is striving to be a true Apostolic, which is simply following the teachings of the Apostles, one WOULD be striving to be Christlike. I don't see any difference there.

I am posting on AFF, so you are way out of bounds. Here you can do just about anything short of breaking the 10 Commandments and still be considered "apostolic".

I agree, but what I'm saying is being Apostolic doesn't mean anything to anyone that's not Apostolic. It's just not a "known" term to say "I'm Apostolic" to the unchurched. However, they are very familiar with saying "I'm a Christian"!
I think maybe there might be too much emphasis put on the word Apostolic.
Why not just say I'm a born again Christian?
