Why did the idiot drive the guy off the road?

All of this would have been avoided if he had just been a better driver!!! He is his own victim!!!
It also would have been avoided if the idiot shooter had not shot him.

3) I disagree with you here. I'm not saying that violence was the acceptable response here. In fact, I have already stated that gun violence was not acceptable for this situation.

But I can think of situations where gun violence would be the appropriate response.

I have the Bible to back me up on this too.

4) So we can not give this guy the benefit of doubt? Maybe he was having a bad day. Maybe he needs some anger management counseling. Maybe he's a war veteran.
How quick are we to demonize this guy, when if the so called "victim" had just been more considerate, this would not have happened.

none of that matters.
None of it is excuse for attempting murder, reckless endangerment to persons and property, or assault with a deadly weapon.

It's also insulting to veterans to insinuate veterans cannot controll themselves enough to refrain from committing a felony over a mere nuisance.

*sigh* Well, I shouldn't be suprised that many of you would blast me for having an individual opinion, for that I apologize. I just think that it is strange that many of you would be "understanding" in a Christian sort of way only when it suits you, however, when one tries to be understanding about someone else who may have driving issues, you balk. You have lumped me with the "shooter" in this case, when I have repeatedly told each of you that I do not endorse the kind of behavior that this man had, sympathizing with the frustration does not mean the same as approving bad behavior. You guys are rich! Nonetheless, I still love each of you, even if you're only willing to show certain lattitude towards certain people, but not others. God bless.

I, for one, was thrown off by your agreeing with a couple of Jermyn's posts, and that's why I was confused by your post on vengeance. Thought you were trying to support the sympathy-for-the-shooter side of the issue. Kinda read it backwards!

But: latitude? Sorry, no. Not for the shooter. None at all. Up to the moment before he decided to make chase, sure. Sympathy for the frustration over apparently bad, maybe even inconsiderate (if it was intentional) driving. But putting pedal to the metal was his first mistake. He acted in anger, with intention of using deadly force in retaliation. That's when he lost any and all "latitude" from me.

It seems to me that there were 2 attempted murders. the second certainly isnt excused by the first, however the first isnt excused by the second.

Sounds like guesswork, and of course you could be right. Don't know what basis you have for it, but whatever.

Don't feel bad Timothy, you're not the only one who read into my posts. I am quite suprised at some at which I thought had more "character" than just reading into my post and mischaracterizing my position. So much for the "Christian" compassion that some would say that they have.

I appreciate that you at least went back and read what I've actually written.

I guess there are a few here who actually recognize that fact, but, be it far from me that I or anyone else sees that.
