No Sir, earn it ! Be a blessing for a change instead of part of the problem. Everyone else here has.
Fine. 1 I did not post to you. it was in response to another's comment. They appreciated my post. next you come and accuse me of being a hater when there was none in it. i thojught name calling was not allowed here.

True, I realize this and your right on.... and you said what I am wanting to say to everyone... hold on to the mighty fine Christian leaders and let the reputation go. And we are trying really hard, and I tell myself that no matter what some here say, that behind closed doors they are really praying for the success of us who are leading the way..

I do pray and hope for success but I just don't have time to deal with it or wait for it. I can work unhindered and unfettered being independent. It has taken years to even shed the org's reputation we had while in the org here in this city even in the midst of good leaders. It will take decades for the org's reputation to change as a whole since it didn't happen over night. Sorry, that is just the reality of it, IMO.

From the mouth is the heart. I call it like I see it, or you type it. I will retract when you give me a reason to.

Once again, I ask for maturity. The thread was started to be a mature discussion, not a childish party for ex-UPCers to jump around in glee yelling "we are free, we are free". In league sports that draws a penalty for unsportsman like conduct. If you want to start a "happy, happy, joy, joy" party thread then go for it. Otherwise, post something that can bless us with discussion or move on.

I don't ask anyone to set their life aside for it, just the acknowledgment that there are people here and not just reputation.. You have done that, which adds to the respect for you. Thank you Bro.

Re: Will you join the UPC NOW ????

I'd rather have JESUS... Than anything, the U-P-C- affords today...

The UPC would have to turn independent, biblical and start working towards the goal of the glorious church (which for the UPC would mean it's disbanding!).

But now your the opposite of others here, correct ? I apologize, I did not anticipate you responding. But you would require the UPC become much more conservative in its beliefs, right ?

Re: Will you join the UPC NOW ????

You know Scotty I really understand where you are coming from. I think though that most forget that how they may have been treated by some people is not how all would treat them. I have watched over the years and seen people leave a church or group and the way they were treated was horrific. There is no reason to treat someone terrible because they leave your church or group. Unless of course they cause trouble, which I have also seen. Then we should always take the high road. Let the problem be with them. Never treat others who leave with disrespect. If they are the ones who are wrong let them hang themselves. No need for us to tie the knot.
I know how the group my father and brother was with treated them. My father left and my brother took over and they treated my brother like he was the guilty party. Then when my brother's wife left him after many years of having an affair they abandonded him completely. There is a bad habit among MANY groups to kill what is down rather than do what they should and help them up. My brother's problem was not that he commited sin but that his wife had and he did not know about it till she left him. He loved her, he trusted her, he did not want to think his wife could be sleeping around. When he found out and she left he had no one to talk to, no one to help comfort him. He was left to sink or swim.

Those kind of hurts run deep and cause lots of hard feelings. I have many friends still in that group but I will not go back to one of their churches. I love my friends and pray ever day that they never become like the ones who treated my brother the way they did. The problem is that when you are around certain types you tend to start thinking and acting like those you hang out with.
