Or should I have chosen the "addiction" selection?
One reason I had trouble choosing was I'm not sure if any of our issues are "regular".

Yep. A man-of-the-house is a man who is in complete control, and has his wife's permission to say so. LOL

Jesus was demonstrating his unique ability to see the intents within heart of man and not establishing a standard that men could judge each other by.

Re: Marriage/Divorce Poll

31 years of married bliss! At least, on my part, and I refuse to let my wife participate. You know, subjection, and all that.

31 years! To God (and my wife) be the glory!

Re: Marriage/Divorce Poll

So far nearly 20% (19.57%) have reported that they are working through adultery issues. That's sobering. I think we should take a moment and pray for one another and our marriages, especially those among us who are navigating those troubled waters. Praise God they're trying to work through it.

Father, I pray that you would be with those working through these adultery issues. I pray that you'd grant them grace to overcome and open their hearts to forgive one another. Strengthen the bonds that remain and restore the love and trust that's been hurt. Father, all this I ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Re: Marriage/Divorce Poll

I'm not sure what the "regular marriage issues" are; I suppose they might include money and in-law problems. More divorces are caused by disagreements over money than by adultery.

Re: Marriage/Divorce Poll

We have had our problems in 31 years, but thankfully, adultery has not been one of them.

Re: Marriage/Divorce Poll

I think my wife would agree, when I say we have been blessed with a very happy marriage and family.
