Re: Ted Haggard on TV now
I watched the whole thing. I've been around Ted and have had more than one conversation with him. He was even on a cruise my wife and I were on a few years ago.
My observations:
He was telling the truth when he stated that he was a liar and deceiver.
He is a very good communicator.
He is no longer afraid to face the truth.
He's not trying re-enter the ministry and do a "Jimmy Swaggart."
He has followed the counsel of his overseers.
I really don't think he's in it for the money.
Ted had/has the ability to look into the camera and blatantly lie. I sincerely hope he has been delivered and will be able to move on in victory and be able to help other people. I hope that the fame of his repentance exceeds the fame of his fall.
I am not saying he is currently lying. I believe that he has tossed his sins/demons on the table and is dealing with them. What more would we expect of any fallen soldier?
