Oh, please, Rhoni!!!!! When I think of "lover", I think of someone I share my entire mind and body with!!!! First of all, that definition isn't from the "gutter"--that's the normal and WHOLESOME definition, and secondly, that term belongs to the person you're married to. If you're not married, you don't have a lover unless you're in an extramarital, sexual relationship.
Besides, unless you're the ice queen, "cuddling" leads to other things, and as for me...nuzzling my neck is going to get me quite hot and bothered.
If I were to say, "Hello, AFF, tomorrow I'm going to find a 'lover'", I can assure you most people would define it in the way most have on this thread, and rightly so. That has nothing to do with the "gutter." You're the one taking the word out of normal context, and then acting surprised when people interpret it
normally.
