If we would counsel our children to avoid a circumstance or behavior, then it seems likely we would NOT 'AMEN' that same lifestyle choice made by our adult brothers and sisters in Christ.
Providing space for the tempter to exploit our natural appetites is foolish.
Adults with even a minimum of life experience understand the difference between fastiing while walking in a park verse fasting while walking through a bakery.
Warning: hugely obvious statement to follow:
Persons who are not married should avoid circumstances that would cause their appetite for intimacy to be increased.
Unmarried persons who purpose to hug or press their bodies together on a couch, would be opening up an occassion where sin and condemnation could enter in.
Being an unmarried "couch lover" is walking a dangerous tighrope...but maybe it's the excitement that some of folks are really after?

The excitement in the thread or on the couch?
As a female, cuddling on a couch during a movie is not going to make me want to get intimate to the point of no return. However, a male is different I suppose.

I was taking Rhoni's statement in context. She is a female, who would enjoy "cuddling" on a couch with a man watching a movie and I took it to mean that and nothing more. As a male your perspective would be different, no doubt.
