This is getting stupid Coadie. Get real.
Coadie, my new position will not be as an agent on the checkpoints. I'm administrative. I'll be in a back office where contractors and employees turn in applications for security access to SIDA (Security Identification Display Areas) such as baggage, freight, storage, the gates, and the tarmac. I give them an application and I take their fingerprints. I then perform a background check against the FBI and TSA databases (I believe TSA interfaces with a number of national security and law enforcement databases, 9, if my memory serves me right). If they are not disqualified by one or more of the 28 criteria listed as disqualifying by TSA I issue them access and give them a security badge. If they meet any of those criteria I deny them access. If they are illegal, have a warrant for their arrest, or are listed as terrorists I have to report them and give the information they gave me to the proper authorities. I also have to run monthly reports to the local Department of Aviation and TSA. Not to mention I'll be tasked with running security audits to know where contractors and employees are in the airport to track accessed areas and behavior. I'll be working from my office directly under the chief of airport police. So, I'll not be a rental cop or even a checkpoint agent. My military experience and clearances helped me out.
What do you do for a living Coadie?

So this is unskilled labor job? My secretary does this for contractors we have on site. .
How did they bust you and your pocket knife? a metal detector? Admitted law breaker.
