Where did the bible say this was a sign to show Jews and Gentles that Jesus was who he said he was?

Luke is probably thinking every nation he knows of. BTW you ever think that we have "sayings" or "Phrases" that if translated into aramaic back then would sound ridiculous to them? Like calling a sodomite "gay"...or saying something is bad when you mean you like it or saying something is cool even though it's 105 degrees?

Jesus heals the lame and you say "That was totally wicked man! DO it again!"

Re: Book of Acts

Strongs list the word "nation"...as meaning "race or tribe"....the word "every" as meaning "all"....the word "heaven" as meaning "air, sky, or the abode of God".

exactly!!

3 people can say the exact same words...and depending on where they are from...it can mean 3 different things. example...the word "fag" has a whole different meaning in London, England then in Dayton, Ohio.

After Thanksgiving Dinner, my brother-in-law Joe stepped outside to have a cigarette. We had a guest visiting from England, and observing the situation, he said (in that beautiful accent), "Ahhh. The fags must go outside."

We all just sat there and looked at him stupid-like, not understanding. Finally, someone just had to ask, "Why do you think Joe is a fag?"

Well, we all just ROTF when the story came out.
