Paul compared the Chistian life to sports but we do not do sports now.
Jesus was a glutton and a winebibber but we only do the glutton part now, the wine is a sin.
Jesus was a friend of sinners but now we verbally abuse them and withdraw from them for fear they'll contaminate us.
The early believers shared their goods and time with others but now we do not want to "support them in their sin" or "enable" them.

I don't try to establish any pseudo self righteousness or holiness based on man-made rules.
