LOL!!
Elder, I had a Sunday School teacher in my youth (an elder) who said that there was no excuse for retaliation...none.
Well, the young men took him to task for it, and asked what he would do if someone broke into his house and tried to attack and harm his wife and young son.
I can still hear his answer, "NEVER is there an excuse...even then I would NOT fight back!!"
Yeah, well...many moons later, he and Mrs. S.S. teacher were on a trip and had checked into a motel. She needed something from the car and he was leaning over the balcony watching her.
Suddenly a couple of guys walked up and began to mess with her in a way that spiked hubby's anger...like lightning he came flying down on them and nearly sent them to the hospital.
We can make many claims about "I would
never"
until we are faced with a situation that we did not anticipate.
All without sin go ahead and cast the stones, but until you are there you don't know.
God love ya, Coonskinner...
