Absolutely it does, but that doesn't mean let them all in illegally until it does.
Heavenly, we have millions already here. In order to round them up and send them home we'd have to turn American into a police state where no one was allowed to work privately without showing the proper "papers". We'd have to prosecute ANYONE who did any kind of work without registering it with the government. For example, you have illegals that do roofing as a private business to support themselves and their families. You have American citizens who are roofers too. To catch the illegals we'd have to force everyone to file every bit of work that needed to be done and who was doing it for them. Then have that individual provide proper paperwork... We'd have to erect miles and miles of security fences, cameras, and deploy thousands of boarder security officers with dogs, guns, lights, vehicles, helicopters, etc. We'd have to go door to door throughout the United States to hunt, find, and deport them.
Those who are already here need to be made citizens. There's little we can do besides turning into a police state to catch them. And many have been here for years and have families. I know a family that if the man was deported he'd stand a chance of not seeing his daughter or the mother of his daughter again. We can't do that.

I say fast track those already here to citizenship, give them a mis on their record, fine them, and probation. Then they'd pay taxes and labor law would apply so they couldn't undercut American workers.
Then turn to the system and start the necessary reforms to streamline this long and antiquated process.
It is the liberals that are tuning America into a police state. The democrats are pro tyranny. Ayers, obama, frank marshal davis. Aquuila, when you knowck conservatives, you are deliberately blind to the liberal agenda.

I bash conservative because mental midgets have the habit of giving them a free pass while crucifying the liberals. They've allowed religion to turn be used to turn them into political lap dogs for the Republican Party.
I find myself agreeing with conservatives on some issues and liberals on others. If I had to pick a party that more closely represents my personal views... it would be Libertarian. But even then I differ on occasion.

It's not so much that they face problems unlike many Americans, which as you well stated many Americans do face similar circumstances. However, as Americans we have far more opportunities to rectify those circumstances. We have opportunities in the midst of hardship that they don't.
And people are still people. Values don't change when circumstances do.

People who employ immigrants are supposed to ensure they are legal before hiring them. That's the law. If they don't, they are also subject to fines, and that law is enforced.
Sadly, many of the illegals are on welfare or are criminals. No, I don't want those people to be 'fastracked' and receive citizenship. For those who are wanting honest work and become Americans, sure, but you MUST go about it the right way. Hiding and working under the table isn't making them look like honest folks.

I agree that values don't change when circumstances do... however history will attest that fallen human beings go to great lengths and often do things that betray their values to survive. We have to accept that reality. Also, we live in such a previledged society that we can smugly say stuff like this. I do believe that if most of us were ever in their circumstances we too might be willing to do things we'd never do given the opportunities we have.

Coadie, conservatives LOVE abortion. (You prove it by using it as a weapon every time the discussion doesn't go your way.) Most conservatives I know use it as a card to play to make political points with the blood of innocents. I was told point blank by a local conservative politician back when I was a RNC Team Leader that he hoped abortion wouldn't go away because it's, "...the most controversial political weapon we have against liberals." (His words, not mine.)
Abortion isn't just a liberal issue. It's also a conservative issue also. Conservatives only throw bandaids at the problem and fail to address the underlying issues. Abortion will never go away, no one was ever prosecuted for murder as a result of abortion, and frankly, like it or not, it's best for the government to step away and leave it in the hands of the mother and not make the problem worse. We as Christians do well to teach our values and enfluence women to choose life.
No judge can overrule a changed heart and mind.
