Sorry I'm just getting to this. I was on my PDA earlier today.
Believe it or not folks (not directed at you, Renda), we don't sit around judging people. I understand the stereotyping. Generally, there's some truth someone/some group is stereotyped. Hence the stereotyping. Cons get a rep for being harsh and judgemental because some of done just that. Conversely, some of the libs have been really flippant and flaunting regarding their "liberated" lifestyle.
That being said, we don't have to judge. The word explicitly states:
Luk 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit.
However, whether or not I agree with someone, even if they have left the faith, doesn't mean I have the right to look down on them. I've got to keep my attitude right. Most of the AMC crowd wasn't castigating the JCM crowd. As a matter of fact, I didn't hear anyone making disparaging remarks. To the contrary, most, if not all, of us are truly saddened by the condition of some of those that were in attendance at the reunion.
Bottom line, I'm going to be friendly to everyone I can. As Renda stated, I did not feel judged. As far my part, I tried to be friendly with all.
I will say don't misconstrue this into thinking I don't believe in separation and a holiness lifestyle. I do and will continue to preach this message. I believe it with every fiber of my being.
