I have a solid standard on that, medium well, and I preach that standard at every steakhouse I go to.
I'd rather it be hot or cold than lukewarm. Can't stand meat that's almost warm or almost cold. Yuck.

I read several explanations of kosher meat, and all of them refer to the way the meat is handled and processed. I couldn't find any links that reference cooking times or how *done* the meat must be.

The older I get the more rare I like my beef. Ground beef still needs to be Medium-Well to well done for me. Especially fast food. Not taking chances.

You know a good way to avoid fast food. Go to the counter and start checking out the waist lines of all the customers. It pretty much does it for me.... that's why I use the drive-thru now

That is SO true. I think half the health problems in this country would disappear if people would go back to cooking their own food at home from fresh ingredients.
Fast food isn't the only problem, though...like the list of the top 40 fattest hamburgers that Apocrypha shared--they're not all from fast food joints. Applebee's & Chili's are in the top 10. I don't think McDonald's even made the list.
