Actually, the exact expression "moderation in all things" or "all things in moderation" is not from the Bible at all. It's Aristotlean if anything (as presented in his
Nicomachean Ethics )
And most certainly that can't literally mean "all things" since some things we are to completely abstain.
The scripture you're likely referring to is Phil 4:5 (Let your moderation be known unto all men) -- many translators use "temperate" here too.
Your optimism about male sexuality is warming, but I believe possibly slightly naieve. The feminine expression of male sexuality is off the mark. Male, untampered, selfish, visual-driven sexuality isn't concerned with anyone or anybody else. It's an imagination run wild into the most debase thoughts... even if for only a few seconds. Stephen Arterburn's books, I believe, well describe "Every Man's Battle" -- even if his prescription runs high on moralism.
