Prax, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions. It's easy to do that in this format of communicating. But Ferd seems to avoid the difficult issues that we face in Church today. I'll admit, many people purposely use the past to justify evil habits of today. But I'm not talking about those people. I'm talking about people who struggle from things, and they honestly can't figure out what is wrong with themselves.
They don't know why they have no, or little joy in life. They don't know why they are so weak, and others are so strong. They don’t understand why emotional storms come at a moment’s notice, creating anxiety and deep stress or depression. They can't figure out why going to Church isn't working.
Pie in the Sky Pentecost is over for many people because of what they've been through. People are tired of broken promises and dreams. When people discover the many lies about our Movement, they have a hard time trusting again.
I just have a hard time with people being so brash towards those who never quite make it in life or who don’t measure up to our Standard of loving God.
