Re: For those who believe in a post-trib rapture..
I think a few things are wise, not just because of the coming Tribulation, but in the event of any large scale catastrophy. Everyone should have at least a months storage of canned goods and water, first aid supplies, and transistor radios. Any disaster relief agency would recomend this.
Also, learn to hunt and survive in the wilderness. Learn how to find, clean, and gather water. Books on these subjects abound. Much of this was common knowledge in ancient times.
Lastly, churches should form networks of house churches or home fellowship groups. In these groups you build solid bonding relationships and get to know one another intimately. Should a disaster occur the group can pool resources, assist one another, and have a non-formal and private pattern for gathering to worship.
One of the interesting movements in America, and the world, today is the house church movement. These are typically smaller, family based, non-registered gatherings of believers in homes throughout the country. Why is this movement growing? Could it be that the Spirit is leading believers OUT of institutional religion on account of the coming Tribulation?
Just a few thoughts after reading this thread.
God bless!
