Yeah... see... there's the problem.

Living in Texas doesn't automatically make one privy to Texas customs. There are plenty of implants that just aren't aware of the proper Texas vernacular.

Ie... blinker.

If there are two right turn lanes, you have to wait for the green in the left one. Has to be curb-to-curb. (You can turn left on a red, curb-to-curb, from a one-way into a one-way, too! A lot of people do know that, here. lol)

One of the first Texanish words I learned here was "wrecker". (It means tow truck, for you fereners. )

Anyway, I didn't use my blinker because no one was behind me. Where did the cop come from?!!!!!

All these years of driving, I just used it for safety purposes. To alert other drivers. I never knew it was against the LAW!!!!!!
What state do you live in? I learned how to drive in Texas, and not using the blinker was (is?? dunno, haven't lived there since '94) a ticketable offense. I do know that here in AZ I use my blinker more than most AND I also have this regrettable habit of yelling at that driver in front of me who has not turned on his signal: "Use your blinker!!!!!"

When I lived in Utah, the joke was that the handle for the blinker was the one you put your house keys on (as in, used so rarely ... )

Everyone I know in CA uses "blinker." I do not, as it is not in the driver's handbook.

I was using my blinker ALL DAY LONG today - even in parking lots!!!

Well, I forgot about four times and quickly looked behind me for the flashing red lights. I'll get the hang of it one of these days. LOL!
