Maybe Bristol has had some Tea Party voters--who knows for sure? Regardless, even though she is a good dancer, I disliked Brandy from the beginning, and I was fine with seeing her go. It is about dancing, but voters are also going to vote for people who are likable. That's just how it is.
Bristol stated today that there are so many people who dislike her mother, that it could have gone either way for her. I agree; she could have been voted off the first week simply because there are so many people who hate Sarah Palin. They pass that dislike right down to Bristol without any good reason; if you don't believe it, read the vicious comments on the news stories and blogs.
This is NO different than the scandal when AI fans blamed Christian voters for the win over Adam Lambert. As if Christian voters are not allowed to have an opinion.
Bristol actually got her highest scores of the season on Monday night, and I thought she did a good job. Brandy is obviously a better dancer, but she isn't as likable. Also, no one is acknowledging the underdog effect. Bristol started with little or no dancing experience, her mother's bad press hanging over her head, and a lot of sympathy because she was raised under a microscope.
